Optimizely
The Optimizely platform provides A/B testing tools, in which two versions of a web page can be compared for performance. Optimizely also enables personalization, which may be used for making data-driven decisions.
What can be done with Optimizely:
- Any tests which rely on a redirect to separate copies of a page are ok. All versions of pages should be sent through the standard QA process. For example, a test redirects visitors from SLP index.html to index1.html and index2.html.
What can’t be done with Optimizely:
- No changes can be made with Optimizely to W2L, API lead forms or their containers. These changes must go through the standard prioritization, development, QA, deployment process to ensure bulletproof QA.
Standard deployment process:
- Marketing tech maintains a Google doc of active Optimizely tests which is available to tech.
- If a deployment is occurring on a site with an active test, the original QA ticket acceptance criteria should be checked again by internal QA.
