Paid Landing Pages

Paid Landing Pages live separate to other content / page types on the 2U theme and have their own set of templates and features. Some of the differences between PLPs and regular pages are:

PLP pages are always noindex/nofollow but have the option to enable this if required
There are no dropdown navigation/menus, breadcrumbs, or sidebar menus, no floating CTA, and logos are not linked
The have custom metadata fields per page (which are pulled into the sitemap)
There is a visible field in the WordPress admin to indicate which Form ID is in use on a page
They have their own Hero Variation (PLP)
There is a set list of Template options – with the ability to create new Templates on the fly

The PLP post type can be found in the WordPress dashboard:

In the post list screen, you will see a new field for Form IDs. This will show any Taxi Form ID that is used on each PLP.

In the right-hand PLP sidebar, you will see a new drop down for ‘PLP Sitemap’, which allows you to add custom meta fields for ‘Approved for Agency‘ and a description.

You will also see new settings to hide the Breadcrumbs and/or Navigation on the PLP:

All of the other page settings will be the same as regular pages, and the block editor works in exactly the same way.

PLP Block Patterns

To aid the creation of PLP pages, there are now a selection of Block Patterns available in the editor. Each of the block patterns have a variation of different, pre-selected blocks which create a predefined layout, all you need to do is add the content!

Note: the block patterns already have the responsive rules set within them, so you don’t need to worry about setting different responsive options.

To insert a block pattern, click the ‘+‘ icon anywhere in the editor and select Patterns:
