Core Web Vitals (CWV) Globals Settings

NOTE: one trust, optimizley and taxi are not loaded if their ID has not been supplied. The toggles are more for disabling these scripts on specific posts types. For example one trust might not be needed on paid landing pages.

Defer the main JS bundle.

At the bottom of general you can find a toggle to defer the main javascript bundle. This setting is applied across the full site.
Default: off

Standard Use: Always defer JS Bundle for Minisites (cannot do this on Degree sites because of Taxi)

Disable Taxi script

Inside the taxi settings page in the global settings you can find a toggle to disable taxi.
Default: off

This setting can be applied separately to the following post types. Pages, Posts and PLPs. This setting can also be set and overridden at single page/post/plp level if needed. This will prevent taxi from being loaded so the form block should not be used if this setting is turned on.

Standard Use: Always remove Taxi Script for Minisites

Disable Optimizley

Found in the analytics section inside the global settings to disable Optimizley.
Default: off

This setting can be applied separately to the following post types. Pages, Posts and PLPs. This will prevent Optimizley from loading so should not be used on pages using the versions blocks.

Standard Use: Always disable Optimizely Script for Minisites

Defer Optimizley

Found in the analytics section inside the global settings. You can defer optimizley.
Default: off

This setting can be applied separately to the following post types. Pages, Posts and PLPs. If the versions block is used on page then the script will not be deferred.

Standard Use: Defer Optimizely on “Posts” for all Degree sites as well as “Pages” once PLP migrations are completed

Disable One Trust

In the global settings inside the one trust section you can disable loading one trust at a post type level.

Standard Use:  Disable OneTrust on all program and minisites unless instructed by Martech. Sites with OneTrust enabled are either based in the EU/UK or have received over 5% EU traffic over 3 Quarters.

Lazy Loading

A lot of blocks with images are automatically lazy loaded. If a block is above the fold on the page then you should disable lazy loading via the toggle at the block level.

The programs blocks have a range control for this so you can set which program number in the feed lazy loading starts. (see screenshot)
