Block Patterns

Block patterns are templated sequences of blocks that can be added to a blank page in the WordPress editor. Adding a block pattern saves time when creating a new page that follows a consistent pattern. We will be building out documentation for this new feature here, and will be hosting a training session in the coming weeks.

Block pattern templates are now available for the following page types:

  • Homepage (multi-program)
  • Homepage (single program)
  • Tuition/ Financial Page
  • Organic/ OLP
  • Admissions Page
  • PLP – Above the Fold
  • Paid Thank You Page

Hero Block

  • Fix for Hero variation 3, where Hero Text Color Mobile was not displaying correctly on frontend
  • Add the ability to adjust the padding of the Hero Title & Hero Content across all Variations (see screenshot)
  • Add a setting to ‘show drop shadow on mobile’ (see screenshot)

Global Settings

  • Add tracking for any Global Settings edits to the Slack WordPress feeds
  • Add the ability to set the paragraph text font-size at global level (see screenshot)
  • Add the ability to set the hover behavior (hover background + hover text color) for the sidebar block (see screenshot)

Custom Card Block

  • Add the ability to add a background image to the entire card (see screenshot)

Other

  • Fix for issue where accordion arrow was appearing in a new line under text
  • Site level option to disable Yoast auto redirects, for instances where the Redirection plugin is used instead
  • Add margin selector to the YouTube block (see screenshot)
